Riverdale School
The school has been restored as part of a historical project. It has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1938 and is in magnificent condition.

Armstrong Elementary School - 1957
This photo was from the last year that Armstrong School was open. It was replaced the following year with a brick building. It was located in the Hightop
Community north of Thorngrove Pike.
Children from Armstrong School started attending Carter in September of 1964.
